Search Murray County Traffic Records
The main court search path is MCRO Case Search. Use the Citation Number tab when a ticket number is available. Use the Case Number tab if a citation has become a filed District Court case. Use MCRO Hearing Search or the Murray County daily court calendar for hearing date checks. Payable citations route to the Minnesota Court Payment Center, while non-payable or contested cases require court contact.
The assigned MCRO judgment-search image is not the citation tab, but it shows the same statewide MCRO public-access environment used for Minnesota court searches.
Traffic users should select the correct MCRO search path: citation number for tickets, hearing search for court dates, and case number for an already filed case.
- Open MCRO Case Search and choose the Citation Number tab.
- Enter the citation or ticket number exactly as issued.
- Use the Court Locations option to narrow to Murray County when needed.
- Review public case details, hearing entries, disposition, and payment status if available.
- Use Court Payment Center for payable tickets or Court Administration for contested and appearance-required cases.
Murray County Traffic Court Venue
Murray County traffic cases are handled in Minnesota District Court. The county Court Administration page lists Criminal/Traffic and Juvenile/Juvenile Traffic hearings among the case categories it processes. Research did not locate a separate Murray County municipal court, justice court, or county court records portal. Slayton Police and other agencies may issue or enforce citations, but court filings route into District Court or statewide payment and case systems.
This matters when a driver tries to decide where to call. Questions about whether a citation is payable, whether a court appearance is required, or whether a case has a hearing date belong with the court or payment center. Questions about a city police contact, local policy, or the issuing officer may start with the police department. Certified copies, docket entries, and court dispositions remain court records.

The Slayton Police source in the manifest shows the city enforcement contact, not a court records database.
Police pages can help identify the issuing agency, but District Court and state payment systems control the court traffic record.
Murray County Citation Lookup Fields
MCRO allows citation-number searching, but the exact citation number is the strongest input. Name searches can miss pending criminal, traffic, or petty misdemeanor cases without a conviction. Case numbers work best after a ticket becomes a filed case, and hearing search works best when a court appearance has already been scheduled.

Murray County Traffic Record Details
A traffic court record is a court case or citation record. It can document a ticket from the citation number through hearings, plea, disposition, fine, payment, sentence, or failure-to-appear events if public. It does not necessarily show the full driving history, administrative license action, insurance consequence, or every DVS record.

Pay Murray County Traffic Tickets
The county Court Administration page directs traffic-ticket questions and payments to the Minnesota Court Payment Center. The Murray District Court page also notes that counter payments cannot be accepted after 2:30 p.m. on the last working day of the month. That deadline is local payment-counter context, not a blanket rule that every citation can be paid at the courthouse.
- Wait for the citation to be processed if it does not appear immediately in the payment system.
- Use the citation number in Web Pay or the Court Payment Center.
- If the citation is payable, follow the official payment instructions and note any convenience fee shown by the system.
- If a court appearance is required or the person wants to contest, use the hearing or case number and contact Court Administration.
- Do not miss a court date, because failure to appear can create new case events or warrant issues.
Murray County Traffic vs Driver Records
The court traffic record and the state driver record answer different questions. A Murray County District Court record shows what happened in the court case. A Minnesota Driver and Vehicle Services record shows license status, reported convictions, suspensions, revocations, and driver history. A jail record, if there was a custody event, is separate again.

The manifest includes the District Court fee schedule and the Minnesota court fee statute supporting many court costs. MCRO downloads are free when documents are available online, but certified copies and special copy requests go through Court Administration.

Murray County Special Traffic Cases
DWI and some serious traffic offenses can appear as criminal or criminal/traffic cases rather than simple payable tickets. A DWI record may involve court disposition, sentence, probation, fines, jail, treatment conditions, and separate driver-license action. For full case details, use the Murray County criminal court records path as well as traffic search.
CDL, juvenile traffic, crash-related, and court-appearance-required citations should not be handled as routine online payments without checking the court and driver-record consequences. Juvenile traffic hearings are processed by District Court, but juvenile records have access limits. Missing a court date can create failure-to-appear events and possible warrant context.
Deferred or diversion-style outcomes should be confirmed in the court file and with the office handling the citation. The research did not identify a Murray-specific defensive-driving program page, so do not assume that a course automatically keeps a violation off a driver record. When a commercial license, crash, alcohol allegation, or juvenile matter is involved, the court record and the DVS driver record should both be checked before relying on the result.
Murray County Traffic Access Rules
Public access to traffic court records follows Minnesota court public-access rules. Rule 4 of the Minnesota Rules of Public Access defines public and nonpublic case records. Rule 8 addresses inspection, copying, bulk distribution, and remote access. These rules explain why MCRO may show less than courthouse terminals and why some pending traffic matters may not display by name.
If a known Murray County citation is missing from MCRO, try the citation number, then the case number, then the hearing search. Older records, records not yet processed, confidential juvenile traffic matters, and restricted data may require Court Administration contact. For copies needed for official use, ask for a certified copy because downloaded MCRO documents are informational, not certified.
